• Abstract:
  
  Attempts to use ejbdeploy from WebSphere Application Server 8.5
  cause the generated JAR to contain absolute paths for some of
  the directories in the generated code.
  
  Problem:
  
  When invoking ejbdeploy on the command line as follows:
  
  $WAS_HOME/ejbdeploy.sh  'path'/Test.jar 'path'/working directory
  'path'/NewTest.jar -keep -trace
  
  followed by $JAVA_HOME\bin\java\jar -tvf NewTest.jar
  
  then you will see absolute paths generated for some of the
  package directories:

  It is not possible to extract the contents of the JAR due to
  those extra leading slashes.
  
  Local fix:
  
  If the input EJB JAR file already contains the deployment files
  then calling ejbdeploy to re-generate will not cause any extra
  leading slashes to be generated in those directories.
