APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ORA-01012 running COBOL 4.1.1.4 is issued when mixing
  routines built with previous levels of COBOL and calling
  database.  To discover the version of COBOL, use
  $ lslpp -l cobol*
  

Local fix

• Change the file /etc/cob2.cfg:
  runlib1     = -brtl,-L/usr/lpp/cobol/lib,-lcob2_r
  should be changed to:
  runlib1     = -L/usr/lpp/cobol/lib,-lcob2_r
  

Problem summary

• Oracle error.
  

Problem conclusion

• This has been solved with COBOL for AIX 4.1.1.6.
  See apar PM65600.
