  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • FFST for missing subscription incorrectly issued
    .
    Additional information:
    After the fix for this APAR has been applied, MQ will no longer
    remake the subscription since it is impossible to know which
    type is required (QMName or UUID). Because these subscriptions
    are not remade they remain 'missing' and FFST dumps are taken
    hourly (instead of just once) to indicate an error.
    .
    The best way to fix the missing subscription is to a REFRESH
    CLUSTER on the queue manager getting the CSQX053E error. This
    will delete the CLQMGR objects, which will then be remade whan
    an application requests them. Subscriptions will also be made at
    the same time.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CSQX053E message indicating a CSQSNAP   *
    * dump (FFST) has been issued. The FFST *
    *                      shows that a "Missing subscription"     *
    *                      detected by rrmMaintainClqMgr.          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The hourly cluster maintenance cycle checks every CLQMGR to see
    if its refresh bit is on, and if so it checks to see that there
    are subscriptions for the CLQMGR. However there are two types
    of CLQMGR subscriptions, either flagged as
    rfxSubsFlags_CLUSTER_Q_MGR_NAME or
    rfxSubsFlags_CLUSTER_Q_MGR_UUID. However, the rrmMaintainCLQMGR
    code was only checking for the latter type, and if none were
    found then an FFST was issued.

Problem conclusion

  • rrmMaintainCLQMGR now checks for both types of CLQMGR
    subscription, and will only issue an FFST if none are found.
