PM64114: COGNOS 10 ACCEPTS RSVP.CSV.MIMETYPE VALUE (APPLICATON/CSV) ONLY WITH TYPING ERROR

Error description

  • A Cognos 10 report is executed with csv output and saved it in
the content store. If the report output is downloaded using the
'report output versions' menu the user gets a *.xls file, while
a *.csv is expected.????Therefore the CSV property
RSVP.CSV.MIMETYPE is set to application/csv for
BatchReportService and ReportService. Now, if the report output
is saved and later downloaded using the 'report output versions'
menu the user gets a *.988Z file, while a *.csv is
expected.????If the CSV property RSVP.CSV.MIMETYPE is changed to
applicaton/csv (without letter i) for BatchReportService and
ReportService, a new report output is saved and later downloaded
via 'report output versions' menu the user gets the expected
*.csv file. ????This issue exists in IBM Cognos BI v10.1 and
v10.1.1.

Local fix

  • CSV property RSVP.CSV.MIMETYPE with value applicaton/csv (withou
t letter i).
