Error description
Prevent mapping when the XML Schema consists of a single elementary element
Local fix
Problem summary
The response message defined in the WSDL consists of a single elementary element <ProxyWebSvcResponse> that is of type string. Our meet-in-middle support has a limitation where it requires the root XSD element in a mapping session to be of a complexType (this means that the root XSD element contains at least one other element or attributes). The tool currently does not enforce this limitation properly, resulting in the unexpected error dialog.
Problem conclusion
Meet-in-middle support requires the root XSD element in the mapping session file to be of a complexType (this means that the root XSD element must contain at least one other element or attributes). We put the fix in so that the mapping session creation wizard will not allow selecting a root XSD element that is not of a complexType. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.3 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
