  In ClearQuest Web 8.0.0.1,  the following error message appears
  when trying to modify a record after selecting a value for a
  field that has a value change hook.  The error is slightly
  different, depending on whether Internet Explorer or FireFox is
  being used:
  
  Conflict error: Error from RPC server: PROPPATCH failed:
  The field 'XXX' cannot be modified because it is currently
  read-only.'
  
  This situation occurs only if the read-only checkbox field does
  not have a default value in its schema definition.

  When trying to submit or modify a record in ClearQuest Web,
  selecting a field which has a value change hook may result
  in the following error message "Conflict error: Error from
  RPC server: PROPPATCH failed:  The field "XXX" cannot be
  modified because it is currently  read-only."
  
  This error occurs when the value change hook is supposed to
  reset a field to it's original value and then make it read
  only.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearQuest 8.0.0.4.
