PM63437: RDz: EST XML Converter program splits *process keywords and values across multiple lines in generated PLI program

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The generated XML Converter program from xsebatch (PLI top down
  scenario) generates a *process statement in the beginning and
  formats it to fall between the Col 2 and Col 72 margins.
  However this leads to *process keywords and values being split.
  In the observed compile process this generates a pre-processor
  warning but the compile process successfully completes (default
  values are used for the process statement).  e.g.
  
  *process macro limits(extname(8)) not('^') or('|') codepage(37)
  rules(no laxdcl) display(std) limits(name(100) fixeddec(15,31)
  fixedbin(31,63)) c heck(nostorage);
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The Enterprise Service Tools PL/I XML converter code generator
  uses the line continuation rules for regular source records when
  generating *process statements, which is not correct.
  

Problem conclusion

• The Enterprise Service Tools PL/I XML converter code generator
  has been corrected to no longer split keywords or keyword
  arguments across records/lines.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.3 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
