Error description

• Abstract:
  
  Attempts to display an error message while sending information
  to IBM might result in a long UI waiting time in IBM Rational
  Application Developer.
  
  Problem:
  
  You enabled the UI Monitoring feature of Rational Application
  Developer by taking these steps:
  
  1. Select:  Windows ? Preferences ? General ? Performance
  Monitors ? User Interface Monitors
  
  2. Select: Enable UI Monitoring
  
  Now you observe that a report gets created after the product
  attempts to show an error message and send detailed information
  to IBM.
  
  The report shows a slow executing thread which has a stack trace
  similar to the following:

  java.io.File.exists(Unknown Source)
  org.eclipse.osgi.framework.util.SecureAction.exists(Unknown
  Source)

  The UI can hang for a short period of time due to the full
  details of the error report being populated on the UI thread
  while the error dialog is opening.
  

Problem conclusion

• The error report details are now constructed when the error
  report is sent to IBM. The fix for this APAR is included in
  Rational Application Developer v8.0.4.1.
