PM62840: TM1 GARBAGE MEMEORY BEHAVIOUR NOT DOCUMENTED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• TM1's garbage memory is not released to the operating system, so
  when elements are deleted from a dimension the amount of memory
  used by TM1 does not decrease and the elements remain in memory
  until the cube is unloaded and reloaded, or the server is
  restarted. Customers tend to assume that when they delete
  elements the memory is made available for reuse without any
  action on their part. Could this be explained in the
  documentation so that they are aware of it?
