Error description

  • While running a 400 user stability test on Cognos BI, kit
10.2.1000.14, we observed that running a largePDF report
suddenly caused the following issues when introduced mid test
into stability:  1.  We ran 3 days without the PDF LargeList
report in the mix.  Most report executions during stability were
taking less than 10 seconds.  2.  Introduced the PDF LargeList
report, report execution for this one report took as high as
2500 seconds, and caused all other PDF reports to get
signficantly slower.  3.  This caused excessive hung threads in
WAS at the time we introduced this report.  4.  About three
hours later, this report was removed, and all hung threads and
report transaction response times returned to normality.
