Error description

  • Various functions while in offline mode of a z/OS project seem
to behave abnormally.

1. Rename and Delete actions were leading to
NullPointerException.

2. Copy action from offline project provoked the loss of
content for the original source.
(the contained data is completely gone from the source)

Other actions in offline mode against a project seem to work
properly.

Problem summary


    

  • Various exceptions from NPEs to ClassCastExceptions to job
scheduling rule exceptions were ocurring during the different
operations described in the APAR.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • There was no common thread to all the exceptions and each was
dealt with separately.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.3 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
