Error description

• APAR Error Description:
  Abstract: In Rational Developer for System z (RDz) version
  7.6.2.1, projects may disappear from the z/OS Projects explorer
  after having been renamed while disconnected from the host.
  Problem: Steps to reproduce the problem:
  
  1- From the z/OS Projects explorer, expand z/OS Project named
  for example projectA and rename its subproject named for example
  subprjA to subprj_A.
  2- Cancel any request to connect to the host
  3- Rename the z/OS project from projectA to project_A.
  4- Cancel any request to connect to the host
  5- Restart RDz: project_A appears empty on the z/OS Projects
  explorer, no more subproject.
  
  Local fix:
  Always rename projects while connected to the host.

Problem summary

• During the rename process, updating of internal model objects
  was encountering an error which prevented the rename from
  completing.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.4 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
