PM60610: IDSM ERROR 0310 ACCESSING A MULTI-MEMBER SET

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customers are getting an IDMS error 0301 (area not readied) when
  we attempt to walk a multi-member set. The set contains 7
  members, each in it's own
  IDMS area. When the metadata was created only 1 of the member
  records was selected.

Problem conclusion

• The DDL validation for IDMS does not process capture the area
  information for all records in a multi member set.   It only
  captures the area for the owner of the sets for the target
  record. This fix captures the areas for all possible members of
  a multi-member sets in the path. Drop and redefine the tables
  after the fix has been applied.
