  • Abstract:
    
    Unable to open any Portlet Faces JSP page or any JSP page using
    Page Designer when both the English (Canada) and Hebrew locales
    are installed in the underlying operating system.
    
    Problem:

    The web projects and JSP pages were using the English (Canada)
    while the Hebrew locale is installed for other uses on this
    machine.
    
    Local fix:
    
    Remove the Hebrew Locale from the operating system if that is an
    option. Otherwise install/use the RAD 8.0.4 32-bit on Windows 7
    64-bit.

    When using the Hebrew locale on Windows 7 64-bit, it is not
    possibl to open a JSP. Instead, a gray screen appears with
    an empty JSP editor view content.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Hebrew locale is now properly supported.  The fix for
    this APAR is included in Rational Application Developer
    v8.0.4.1.
