PM58035: INCONSISTENT BEHAVIOR WHEN USING NESTED LAYOUT COMPONENT REFERENCES

Error description

• When trying to insert a layout component reference from a
  template into a new report studio report - for example a header
  with a title and a subtitle - and perform overrides on those
  items, we get expected behavior and are allowed to override
  those items with text items or other objects. But if we want to
  link those items to the same header on other pages (thus giving
  us the ability to only update on the first page and have it
  follow suit on the rest of the report) we notice that nesting
  layout component references pointing back to the text items we
  set in this report on the first page only work for the first one
  done. It seems to close off the others (despite override being
  set) and takes the value from the original object.
  

Local fix

• Wrap the original layout component reference in a table (one cel
  l) or possibly other object you can name, name the table (or cho
  sen object) and point the layout component reference on other pa
  ges to this table/object instead of nesting layout component ref
  erences with overrides.
