Error description

  • Dataset <hlq>.SCTGSID shipped in CICS TG for z/OS v8.1 is empty.
It should contain member CTGSTATS, which is the link-edit side
deck information required to generate the CICS TG statistics API
sample program CTGSTAT1.
If you run the supplied compile and link-edit job provided in
<hlq>.SCTGSAMP(CTGSTJOB), the link-edit step fails with a JCL
error.

Local fix

  • If available, use the side deck information shipped with CICS TG
for z/OS v8.0.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS Transaction Gateway has been updated to generate the side
deck in <hlq>.SCTGSID(CTGSTATS) when the PTF is applied.
