Error description

  • Tested with Linux and Synergy 7.1.0.5

    1) Start a Synergy session in Web mode.
    In Synergy:
    Create a new task
Create a new project (workarea in linked mode)
Create a subdirectory called 'subdir' for example in this new
    project

    2) In a terminal go in the project's workarea.
    ##
    ls -al
    total 16
    drwxr-xr-x 3 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:17 .
    drwxr-xr-x 3 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:15 ..
    -r--r--r-- 1 gperrin users 54 Feb 3 10:15 .ccmwaid.inf
    drwxr-xr-x 2 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:17 subdir
    ##

Create manually, in the terminal, a link pointing to the new sub
    directory 'subdir':
    ln -sf subdir linkme
    ##
    ll
    total 16
    drwxr-xr-x 3 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:18 .
    drwxr-xr-x 3 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:15 ..
    -r--r--r-- 1 gperrin users 54 Feb 3 10:15 .ccmwaid.inf
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 gperrin users 6 Feb 3 10:18 linkme -? subdir
    drwxr-xr-x 2 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:17 subdir
    ##

    3) In Synergy, run a Sync Workarea on the project.
The link is detected and the new conflict is reported in
    Synergy.
Right click on the object in the Conflict dialog, and select
    'Keep Workarea changes'

=? The object 'linkme' is created in Synergy. With the correct
    type 'symlink'.
=? But the link is deleted in the workarea
    ##
    ll
    total 16
    drwxr-xr-x 3 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:20 .
    drwxr-xr-x 3 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:15 ..
    -r--r--r-- 1 gperrin users 54 Feb 3 10:15 .ccmwaid.inf
    drwxr-xr-x 2 gperrin users 4096 Feb 3 10:17 subdir
    ##

    4) Run a Sync workarea on the project again:
A new conflict 'File removed from the workarea' is detected for
    the object 'linkme'.
-Select the option 'Discard Workarea changes'
=? The symlink object in Synergy is kept.
=? But the link is still not created in the workarea.
