PM54781: RSA Automation Signature for Units 'To Be Uninstalled' Broken

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Client is using RSA 8.0.4, they found that automation Signature
    for Units 'To Be Uninstalled' Broken in RSA topology diagram,
    the problem can be reproduced with following steps:
    
    -----------
    1. create new topology delete_action_test
    2. create hosting model x86Server ? Windows2008 ? MQ
    Installation ? Queue Manager ? MQ Queue
    3. Set all units to Installed state except for MQQueue which is
    in To Be Uninstalled state.
    4. right-click MQQueue and click Create Automation Signature
    5. enter QUEUE_DELETE.  No need to sync with RBF.  Click Finish.
    
    6. In Automation Signature, click the canvas.  In properties,
    scroll down, select MQQueue unit in Available, and click right
    arrow to publish.
    7. CTRL-S to save.
    8. Click tab for delete_action_test.
    9. Click tab for QUEUE_DELETE.
    10. In Automation Signature, click the canvas.  In properties,
    scroll down, Note the unit has moved back to the Available
    state.
    11. select MQQueue unit in Available, and click right arrow to
    publish.  CTRL-S to save.
    12.  click the Unit in the automation signature canvas.  In
    properties, click Unit Links tab.  Note the ERROR for the broken
    link.

    dev team has confirmed this is a defect and request to create a
    CR for this.

Problem conclusion

  • Updated appropriate sections of workflow editor to properly
    reflect to be uninstalled units.
