  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Synergy server may be vulnerable to resource leaks when the
    client process is killed (or crashed) in the middle of an
    operation. This is because the server does not have a mechanism
    to detect crashed clients.
    
    Part of the Synergy design is to tolerate temporary network
    glitches (lost of connections). Therefore, the server keeps the
    client data alive while lost the connection with the client.
    However, in order to reclaim the resources, we would add a
    timeout mechanism to the server to abort the client's operation
    after certain period of time so that the resource can be reused.
