APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The  user installed the Rational Cobol Runtime product and
wanted to run the customization clists.

Some of the clists invoke ISREDIT MACROs.

Due to the Edit profile setting (AUTOSAVE OFF) the macros could
not update the file being edited when they exited with ISREDIT
END command.

The workaround was to add ISREDIT SAVE before the ESREDIT END
command manually.

This should be fixed in the shipped macros the same way.

The macros are:
ELACCHNG
ELADELT
ELSJOBCD

Problem conclusion


    

  • DUE TO THE EDIT PROFILE SETTING (AUTOSAVE OFF) THE MACROS COULD
NOT UPDATE THE FILE BEING EDITED WHEN THEY EXITED WITH ISREDIT
END COMMAND.

THE WORKAROUND WAS TO ADD ISREDIT SAVE BEFORE THE ESREDIT END
COMMAND MANUALLY.
