  1. Inserting a column for Discussions having "Display open
  discussions that were started before or during this
  baseline" as selected filter, gives incorrect result - All
  discussions(open and closed) created during the baseline is
  displayed, instead of all open discussions created during
  the baseline
  2. Also the text for the discussion columns is so general
  that there is no distinction between two discussions query
  "Display open discussions that were started before or during
  this baseline" and  "Display all open discussions and all
  comments". Same for closed discussions
  

Problem conclusion

• 1. The filter to query open discussions was incorrect. The
  functionality is altered to fit the requirements. Now all
  open discussions created during the baseline are displayed
  for "Display open discussions that were started before or
  during this baseline" filter
  2. The text associated with the column is changed to reflect
  the correct behavior. Hence the string changes for the
  discussions query would be
  A: "Display open discussions that were started before or
  during this baseline" is changed to "Display open
  discussions that were started since the last baseline"
  B. "Display closed discussions that were started before or
  during this baseline" is changed to "Display closed
  discussions that were started since the last baseline"
