APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • IGZ0074S A reference modification lenth error. The MIM (meet in
the middle) from EST neglected to allow space for the XML
declaration.

Local fix

  • Change the PICTURE clause of
the offending COBOL variable to be larger.

Problem summary

  • A linkage section item that is used to generate the static
content of XML elements, such as the tag name, is not large
enough when elements from 2 or more namespaces are mapped.

Problem conclusion

  • An internal data structure in the code generator was not being
updated after the LS2XML mapping session file was processed. The
problem has been corrected.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.1 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
