PM49428: RDz v8.0.2 Edit Structure in .BMS does not take effect until Finish button is pressed

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Customer performing a 'edit structure' in a .bms file by
removing a field and adding additional field.  The user then
decided to add one of the deleted field back, but a error was
presented CRRZB0137E: The field name is a duplicate.  If the
user remove a field and press finish then the error does not
occur

  • Deleted fields were also being considered when checking for
duplicates when structure is being edited and save has not yet
been performed.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Deleted fields are not considered when checking for duplicates,
even if the structure is not saved while editing.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3.1 Fix Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
