APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Upgrade procedure for ClearQuest is defective in the
  modification of the httpd.conf file involving the setting of the
  ServerRoot value.  Paths containing spaces are not properly
  bounded by double quotes and because of this IHS cannot be
  started after the upgrade.
  
  Workaround:  Manually alter the httpd.conf file and place quotes
  around the ServerRoot value.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The modification of the httpd.conf file can be incorrect when
  setting the ServerRoot value during ClearQuest upgrades.  Paths
  containing spaces are not properly bounded by double quotes
  therefore preventing IHS from starting up after an upgrade.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearQuest 7.1.1.9 and 7.1.2.6.
