PM47552: CUSTOMER CALCULATED DATA IS BEING TRUNCATED TO 8 DECIMAL POSITIONS, BUT DATAITEM IS CONFIGURED FOR 10.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is retrieving data from an Oracle server, which is
  defined as NUMERIC(20,10).  If we report directly against this
  data, we see the full 10 decimal positions, but if we use a
  calculation (their example was nvl([dataitem],0), the CSV output
  gets truncated to 8 positions.  Oddly, PDF output still
  maintains 10 positions.  In house system shows 8 positions in
  both CSV and PDF.
  

Local fix

• Putting a "cast" around the dataitem allows the correct precisio
  n, but this would require extensive modifcation of their reports
  .
