Error description

• Rational Developer for System z (RDz) Format of PS-datasets
  changed by RSE-copy-paste
  
  This environment has several remote Systems (LPARs of different
  Sysplexes) defined.
  When a copy of a PS-dataset which is allocated as FB 132 with
  the RSE copy-function (right mouse on the dataset --? copy) is
  done then pasted to a different remote system (LPAR) the
  allocation is changed to PS 255. So the dataset is destroyed.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When the paste to another system was run, the check of
  properties of the original dataset was not enough.
  

Problem conclusion

• The RDz client was fixed to get properties of the original
  dataset.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.3 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
