The WebSphere Application Server may not start when using the generated startup script option as a result of the generation hanging and preventing the server from starting.

A failure to promptly write to the input stream or read from the output stream of the sub-process may cause the sub-process to block or even deadlock.
Problem conclusion
The fix for this APAR is included in Rational Application Developer v8.0.4.
