APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After launching Rational Application Developer v8.0.3 and
  starting a WebSphere Application Server test environment the
  server will start normally and the server status will display
  correctly in the Servers view;  However, every 15-30 seconds the
  server status will change to a stopped state for several seconds
  and then switch back to started.

  For the SOAP connection type, there is an intermittent issue
  where the WebSphere Application Server API incorrectly says
  the server is stopped (the server is not alive). As a result
  of this false negative, the server is detected as stopped,
  so the status of the server will be changed to stopped.
  Since the server is not actually stopped, the server will be
  detected as started again and the server status will do
  switching.
  

Problem conclusion

• Call the WebSphere Application Server API for determining if
  the server is alive for the SOAP connection case again if
  the first time fails.  The fix for this APAR is included in
  Rational Application Developer v8.0.4.
