PM45700: [UPG] SCHEDULE DOES NOT START IN COGNOS 10 IF EMS (EVENTMANAGEME NTSERVICE) IS DISABLED ON THE CONTENT MANAGER COMPUTER

Error description

• When using Cognos 8 BI 8.4.1 FP3, scheduling works fine if
  eventManagementService is disabled on the Content Manager
  computer and eventManagementService is enabled on the primary
  dispatcher (Application Tier).??When using Cognos 10.1 FP1, the
  schedule never starts if eventManagementService is disabled on
  the Content Manager computer. As soon "Event management service
  enabled?" will be changed from False to True (True is the
  default setting) scheduling works

Local fix

• * Start IBMﾮ Cognosﾮ Configuration on the Content Manager comput
  er.
  * In the Explorer pane, go to Environment > IBM Cognos services.
  * Set the Event management service enabled? property to True.
