Error description

  • When editing an Assembler program with an OI instruction of the
following format,
'OI    WRKDBL1+((L'WRKDBL1-1)-4),OI0F',  RDz/LPEX displays the
error message -
 Incorrect operand: WRKDBL1+((L'WRKDBL1-1)-4), .  This line of
code in
question is valid and has been assembled correctly.

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • When expressions are encountered in assembler instructions which
are of the format D1(B1)  in System z LPEX Editor, an error is
issued indicating an incorrect operand.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The assembler parser syntax checker will no longer flag errors
when expressions are encountered in assembler instructions with
operands of type D1(B1) in the next service of RDz 8.0

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3 Refresh Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
