  If invalid numeric data is returned by a program called
  using a Java wrapper, the wrapper's call and execute methods
  will throw an exception.  In previous versions of EGL, the
  Java wrapper would not throw an exception, and the invalid
  numeric data would be treated as a zero.
  

Problem conclusion

• Java wrappers will now treat invalid numeric data as zeros.
  Exceptions will not be thrown in this situation.
