Error description

  • Currently there is no way to determine what Projects and/or
Libraries are being called by a Project's/Library's step via
inline, pass chain, or fail chain, unless one navigates to each
of Projects/Libraries and clicks on each step.
Only if the Project/Library calls a Library/Project in question
via pass/fail chain will the association be displayed in the
    Console's lower left frame.

    Steps to reproduce:

    - Create test project and test library with single step.
    - Configure test project step to inline test library.
    - Navigate to library page and load test library under detail
    pane

    Expected result:

Navigation pane under console UI displays test project due to
project step inline of test library.

    Actual result:

Navigation pane under console UI does not displays any project
    association.

    Similar to RFE RATLC01333729.

    Symptom:
The project level nav pane does not show other project's
    whose steps use this project

    Expectation:
The expectation is projects will show what other projects
they consume - inline\chain - both at the project level and
the step level. In addition the nav pane will show the
consumers of this project - other projects who chain\inline
    this project.

Currently just the project level consumer\consumed
    relationship is displayed.

    Cause:
The query we issue to pull out the step level
consumer\consumed projects is incorrect. It is currently
joining bf_steps.bf_id with bf_projects.bf_id which will
    never match.

Problem conclusion

  • Fix:
Correct the query to properly join bf_steps.bf_project_id to
    bf_projects.bf_id.

Temporary fix
