com.ibm.ftt.resources.zos.model.MVSFileResource incompatible
with
org.eclipse.core.resources.IFile  during symbolic map generation

Problem summary


    

  • When generating symbolic map with property group associated, we
are looking to find the PDS specified for the property DSECT
dataset, and sometimes we are unable to locate it, which results
in a NPE. Added a check to search with a different mechanism to
avoid such null pointers.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • NPE no longer happens when generating symbolic map from a z/OS
project with a property group associated.

The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.3 Refresh Pack which
is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
