PM41080: EXPOSE NEW CONFIGURATION OPTION TO ENFORCE THAT THE EXPIRY DATE OF AN ITEM COMES AFTER ITS PUBLISH DATE

 

APAR status

Error description

  • Once enabled if an item with workflow is modified so that its
    expire date comes before its publish date an error will be shown
    to the user when they attempt to save that item.
    
    They should see an error message like:
    "The expire date of this item must come after the publish date."
    
    The validation will also apply to usage of the public API.
    
    To enable the feature add the following to
    /WebSphere/wp_profile/PortalServer/wcm/shared/app/config/wcmserv
    ices/WCMConfigService.properties:
    
    workflow.enforce.expiry.after.publish.date=true
    
    If the new configure property
    (workflow.enforce.expiry.after.publish.date) is not added then
    the behavior of the product should be unchanged.
