PM39553: RDz 7.6.2 extraneous information is shown in OUTLINE View

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Starting with RDz 7.6.2 within the OUTLINE View there is much
  more extraneous information being shown. The scenario was also
  tested in RDz 8.0.1 with the same results.
  This appears to be like a known issue with the PL/I Outline view
  in that it misreads SQL variables, which start with a colon, as
  PL/I labels.

  RDz users who use the PL/I outline view when editing PL/I
  programs that have EXEC SQL statements in them.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  In PL/I programs with EXEC SQL statements, where there were
  multiple spaces between the EXEC and the SQL tokens, the PL/I
  outline view displayed incorrect results because it was not
  recognizing the EXEC SQL statement.
  

Problem conclusion

  PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
  The PL/I outline view correctly handles EXEC SQL statements
  when there are multiple spaces  between the EXEC token and the
  SQL token.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.2 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
