Although Bit Fields are supported now but it's been written 'Bit
fields are not supported' at Note.

installation ? Software requirements for Rational Rhapsody

There are products below JDK(SDK) is required according to the
help information.
(1) IBM Rational Rhapsody Developer for Java
(2) IBM Rational Rhapsody Developer for Ada
(3) IBM Rational Rhapsody ReporterPLUS
(4) XMI (XML Metadata Interchange)

However, ReporterPLUS and XMI doesn't need JDK(SDK), only JRE.
