PM38482: launching a client against a solaris database intermittently fails at initialisation stage

Error description

• Problem
  Sometimes, when launching a client connecting to a solaris
  database server, it will hang with 'Initialising database'
  showing on the splash screen.
  
  To Reproduce
  Exactly when this happens, or what causes it isn't known, you
  may have to launch several client in order to see it.
  
  Possible Workarounds
  Restart the client and try again.
