PM37478: RELATIONSHIPS MANAGED INCORRECTLY IN LIBRARY ADMINISTRATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The relationship type and reversed relationship type can be be
  totally different from the relationship ID if they were renamed
  after definition (which is not and uncommon occurrence).  The
  relationship ID is the key derived from  the ORIGINAL
  relationship name when it was first defined.  After a
  relationship edit (rename) in the administration web screen,
  there is no longer any correlation between the relationship ID
  used in the librarymanagement screen and the relationship type,
  used everywhere else in RAM.

  Create dialog and import function using the internal ID/name
  instead of the relationship display name.
  

Problem conclusion

• Made changes to show display name for relationships... not
  relationship name which is the internal ID... also sort
  based on display name in import, relationship selection
  dialog, and main Relationship Types page (not in Library
  page).
