APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • User is running a Cobol program as the main program in a CICS
transaction. This program calls vagen generated Called Cobol
programs repeatedly.

It is found that the module ELAZSTI is loaded on every call, but
not release, causing an eventual SOS condiction in ECDSA.

Local fix

  • User may circumvent the problem by having a vagen generated
program as the main program in the transaction. This program
should call the current main program.

This will ensure that ELAZSTI is loaded only once.

This will also improve performance as a side effect.
