  • User friendly error message is needed for the following message:
    
    
    Unable to retrieve package item key list.
    
    Reason: SQL30081N A communication error has been detected.
    Communication protocol being used: 'TCP.IP'.
    Communication API being used: 'SOCKETS'. Location where the
    error was detected: '144.229.196.140'.
    Communication function detecting the error: 'recv'. Protocal
    specific error code(s): '10054', '*', '0'.
    SQLSTATE=08001

    In RequisitePro client for Windows, there is a message that
    is displayed when something goes wrong.  The message
    displays when and error happens when trying to expand or
    refresh a package in package explorer. The message is:
    "Unable to retrieve package item key list.\n\nReason: %1",
    which is not more descriptive, even if the reason text has
    more complete explanation of the problem.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The text is now changed to: "Unable to retrieve the package
    items. Try again.  If the problem persists, contact your
    database administrator.\n\nReason: %1" to be displayed when
    a problem retrieving a package contents occurs.
