PM36209: circular trace from and to the same destination possible

Error description

• having 2 projects, A and B being externally connected
  
  having in each project a requirement type for external
  traceability
  
  
  customers main idea is to do traces from A to B
  
  this scenario describes what the customer does if he finds a
  wrong traceability link from B to A
  
  
  
  in project B
  
  do a trace from a requirement within B to a requirement in A
  (link in wrong direction)
  
  
  goto project A
  
  in the trace window of requirement in A, remove the from value
  and then afterward add a to value, save after having done both
  actions (delete and add).
  
  
  open the properties of that requirement again
  
  dubbleclick on the traced to requirement
  
  
  
  you see a window showing circular trace (see screenshot)
  
  
  
  problem could be seen on customers machine ReqPro 7.1.1.4
  
  problem could be seen on latest ReqPro releases 7.1.1.5 and
  7.1.2.2
            problem could be seen with Access and DB2 database

  Rational RequisitePro client for Windows allows circular
  traces in a special scenario.  This happens when in the same
  step the user removes and adds a trace to a requirement of
  an external project.
  

Problem conclusion

• RequisitePro  was modified to ensure the trace to a
  requirement of an external project is correctly removed in
  the case where the user is removing and adding a trace in
  the same step.
