Error description
WebSphere Portal allows to manage a set of allowed languages using XMLAccess. If this set is reduced, incoming web requests that define removed languages in their accept-language header still will see localized texts in that language for resources that have defined localized texts (e.g. titles) in that language. This APAR introduces a new servlet filter that reduces the accept-language header information of incoming web requests to the only contain allowed languages. If there is no overlap of accept-language header and the set of allowed languages, the header is modified to only show the specified default language of WebSphere Portal.

Problem conclusion
This APAR introduces a new servlet filter that reduces the accept-language header information of incoming web requests to the only contain allowed languages. If there is no overlap of accept-language header and the set of allowed languages, the header is modified to only show the specified default language of WebSphere Portal. The new servlet filter "com.ibm.wps.engine.SupportedLocalesOnlyLocaleFilter" allows to restrict accept-language headers of incoming web request to only contain allowed languages.
