Error description

  • As per the description of the rule from the MISRA_14_3.rl rule
file, it states that ?A null statements shall only occur on a
line by itself, and shall not have any other text on the same
    line?
Hence I understand that no text is allowed on the same line
after the null statement. I think the rule works are designed
when checked for violations against the attached code.

However, I do understand that as per the MISRA guidelines, MISRA
    rule 14.3 states that:
Before preprocessing, a null statement shall only occur on a
line by itself; it may be followed by a comment, provided that
the first character following the null statement is a whitespace
    character.

When the rule is checked for violations against the attached
code, it does not report violations as expected.
