PM31357: Data Source Schema Wizard doesn't display modules and projects which are displayed in DOORS ?Project View?

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is trying to view a project in the schema wizard, but
  is unable to do so..
  
  This User has NONE access to the Root Project/Folder (i.e.
  Parent) but has FULL access to the sub-project (child project).
  
  In DOORS, the User can view this project in the Project view,
  but in the RPE data source schema wizard, we are unable to see
  the 'Project View' contents. We can only access the contents of
  the 'Database View'
  
  In the DOORS help manual there is an article ?Planning how to
  organize your data? where it is mentioned that ?In Database
  view, the user must have read access from the database root,
  right down to the module itself. In Project View the user must
  have read access from the project that contains the module right
  down to the module itself.? So I think this pretty much explains
  the behavior that we see in DOORS.
  
  Steps tried to replicate this behavior:
  1. Created two projects under the root database say P1 and P2 as
  user ?Administrator?. Gave none access to ?Everyone? for P2.
  2. Gave full access to the user ?A? for the sub project Q under
  P2.
  3. Close all instances of DOORS and login to DOORS as the user
  ?A?. change to ?Project view? and you will be able to see Q and
  modules inside that.
  4. Now use the schema wizard in RPE and the current DOORS
  instance to locate the project. Neither P2 or Q is visible
  through RPE.
