PM30883: RDz 8 COBOL SQL Content Assist not working as expected

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using a simple COBOL program with EXEC SQL statements on the
  Data Division.
  Typing DI and pressing Ctrl+Space the DISPLAY statement is not
  displayed as a valid statement. After commenting the EXEC SQL on
  Data Division all works a expected also adding a period after
  the END-EXEC will make the content assist work as expected.  The
  problem does not occur when using RDz 7.6.
  This happens with LOCAL COBOL Projects.

     exec sql statement did not end in a period (it ended with
  end-exec), invoking
     content assist in the procedure division did not display
  procedure division
     statements like DISPLAY, DIVIDE, etc. where appropriate.
  

Problem conclusion

  PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
    RD/z content assist correctly handles COBOL programs with exec
  sql
    statements in the data division that end with end-exec, so
  that, when
    content assist is invoked in the procedure division, procedure
  division
    statements like DISPLAY, DIVIDE, etc. are suggested where
  appropriate.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for System z V8.0.2 Refresh Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
