PM30830: TRANSFORMER 10.1 MDL UPGRADE ISSUE, TR1102 ERROR

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A transformer model that was originally created in Cognos 8.2,
  will not open up in Transformer 10.1. The following error
  appears:??"(TR1102) Transformer detected a model error at line
  _____ in file _______. (TR0527) Either the source value for a
  date category isn't numeric of it has an incorrect format."??The
  same .mdl file will open successfully in 8.4 and 8.4.1 without
  issue. So this appears to be specific to 10.1. ?
  

Local fix

• You can work around the issue by saving the model to .pyj in an
  earlier version of Cognos, then opening the pyj in 10.1.
  However, even if you re-save to .mdl, the .mdl file will not ope
  n successfully in 10.1.
