PM30791: MSG EQQW015E AND JCCE ERRORS ON Z/OS 1.12

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the JCC is active on z/OS 1.12 ZOS112 jobs whose MSGCLASS
  does not match the JCCOPTS CHKCLASS settings are set to JCCE
  error status with message EQQW015E in the TRACKER EQQMLOG.
  .
  Examination of the A3P events for the problem jobs shows that
  flags EXRTERMF,EXRJCSET and EXRTERMF,EXRJCOUT are incorrectly
  set on if the JOBNAME contains a character included in the
  JCCOPTS CHKCLASS() parameter.
  .
  The problem occurs because of a change in the structure of the
  JES2 PDDB which TWSz did not account for.  In prior levels of
  z/OS, the length of the PDDB was fixed.  But in z/OS 112, the
  field which previously contained the PDDB length now contains
  a pointer to a newly defined field that contains the length.

Problem conclusion

• The problem is due to a change done by z/OS 1.12
  in the structure of the JES2 PDDB.  In prior levels of
  z/OS, the length of the PDDB was fixed.  But in z/OS 1.12, the
  field which previously contained the PDDB length now contains
  the offset to a newly defined field that contains the length.
