Error description
Rational Developer for System z (RDz) client's File Search tab will disappear. This problem usually occurs in a shelled share eclipse environment. There is always an SWTException of an Invalid Thread Access found in the .log file, but it may have a slightly different stack trace. Problem summary
The initialization of BIDI tools threw exceptions which interferred with some basic Eclipse search tools.
Problem conclusion
The initialization of BIDI tools has been fixed in the latest release to not throw any exceptions that will hamper Eclipse search tools. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V7.6.2.2 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
