PM28032: Rational Developer for System z (RDz) PLI compiler not working correctly with EBCDIC compiler option

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer is compiling a PLI program that uses the PLI builtin
  translate function to convert lowercase to uppercase with the
  EBCDIC compiler option.  However, the EBCDIC lowercase
  characters are not being converted to EBCDIC uppercase
  characters as expected.  In v7.1 this scenario works correctly
  for the same program.

   PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  ****************************************************************
  The version of IBMWSTB.DLL that was shipped with Rational
  Developer for System z (RDz) contains modifications for
  Japan code pages.  These changes are only needed for these
  specific Japanese code pages.  The earlier version of
  IBMWSTB without these changes works and should have been
  the version that was shipped with RDz.
  

Problem conclusion

  Problem Resolution:  The earlier version of IBMWSTB.DLL, which
  does not contain the changes made to work with Japanese code
  pages, is now shipped with the Rational Developer for System
