PM27848: The auto-build preference value may not be saved if it is modified via an imported preference file

Error description

• When Ant is started the auto-build preference state is
  temporarily stored, set to 'false' (disabled), and then restored
  to the original value at the end of the Ant invocation.  If a
  preference task is used to set the auto-build state to a
  user-specified value then its value may not be saved as the Ant
  launcher will force the value back to the original value.

  When starting a new workspace with the runAnt launcher the
  auto-build preference state is set to 'true'.  If one of the
  tasks that are executed changes the auto-build state to
  'false', i.e.
  
  /instance/org.eclipse.core.resources/description.autobuildin
  g=false
  
  then the auto-build state will be forced back to 'true' when
  Ant terminates since that was the original state of
  auto-build.
  

Problem conclusion

• If a user-supplied value for auto-build is supplied then it
  will be used; Otherwise, the original state of auto-build
  will be restored during shutdown of the Ant process.  The
  fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in the
  Rational Application Developer v7.5.5.4 fixpack.
